Guitar Setups

Get your guitar feeling good and sounding great! This is our #1 service, because a great setup fixes a lot of issues, and exposes the real issues a guitar may be experiencing. We offer setups for acoustic guitars / electric guitars / basses / ukuleles / mandolins - basically if it has frets, you can bring it in!

The standard setup steps are:

• addressing the neck relief (adjust truss rod)

• setting the action (adjust saddle heights)

• improving intonation (tweak saddle location when possible)

• restringing instrument

• filing nut slots

• oiling fingerboard and bridge

• tightening all hardware

• balancing pickup heights

• cleaning instrument (upcharge if it's really gross)

You may need a guitar setup if...

• you've changed your string gauge

• intonation is out of whack

• action feels high, and is tiring for your fretting hand

• some notes are buzzy

• one pickup sounds more quiet than the other(s)
